You know what the best part about this basket of fruit and greens is? This olive and citrus door basket is one that I recreated from a beautiful faux arrangement at Balsam Hill. I used Kumquats and lemons to add that warmth. I actually really love the simplicity of just the greens here- it is such a charming look.īut, you know I had to bring in some of the Italian inspired sunshine with fruit. I filled this basket with fresh clipped olive branches- complete with a few olives still on the branches- and it was beyond beautiful. ![]() I started with just a simple basket- this one is actually a bicycle basket that I repurposed into a door basket. Fresh olive clippings and fruit = so much spring and summer feeling and beauty. I mean… I cannot get over how much I love this arrangement on the door. They make me think of little English cottages with thatched roofs and lots of wildflowers and gardens.Īnd this one? Well, this one is talking loudly to me right now. I am a HUGE fan of baskets on front doors. And this front door decor was inspired by just that. Italy is full of big beautiful lemons, olive trees and lots of warm colors on repeat. Seems like SO long ago- but it was just over a year ago- and it was just before everything changed around the world in 2020. Under the Tuscan SunĮven though we aren’t traveling to Italy right now- I am inspired by the ideas and warmth that I felt when we were in Positano in October of 2019. It isn’t just all flowers all the time over here (okay- it kind of is most of the time) but today it is also about lush beautiful greens and a pop of color with citrus. Today- it is a different kind of way to decorate your front door. And that means alllll kinds of flower filled spring decorating is coming your way. The birds are singing in the mornings, the evenings are staying light longer and I am thinking about kinds of warm weather fun in the garden. I am feeling all spring inspired over here.
